PhD Student, UC Irvine Department of English
Jasmine Lee is a PhD student in the Department of English. She is interested in thinking through the economic and cultural relationships between popular culture, especially media targeted at young adult audiences, and its consumers. Jasmine holds an MA in English and an MA in English Composition. Her work in Composition Studies has prompted her to think about the entanglements of capitalism and schools/universities, disciplinary organization, classroom curricula, and pedagogical practices.
