The Chemical and Structural Biology (CSB) Training Program at UC Irvine is proud to present the first CSB sponsored Ph.D. thesis defense on Thursday, May 26th, 2016 at 2pm in Natural Sciences 2, room 1201. Scott Hollingsworth (CSB 2014) from the Poulos Lab and the Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry will be presenting some of the work he has done during his graduate career in a talk entitled:
“At the interface of experiment and computation: explorations of heme protein redox partner interactions, water behavior on organic surfaces and other systems.”
In addition to being supported by the CSB program, Scott has also been supported by our sister training program in cancer biology in the Ayala School of Biological Sciences, as well as collaborating with AirUCI in the School of Physical Sciences.
So, come by on May 26th at 2pm to learn about some of the work that has been sponsored by the CSB program as the first CSB fellow defends their thesis.
