She joined the Center for Tissue Engineering in Fall 2017, and is currently researching techniques for micro/nanobubble separation to quantify their oxygen-carrying capacity for applications in wound healing. She joined the CTE to gain a skill-set pertaining to molecular biology as she works towards graduation in Spring 2018. She plans to continue conducting research in the lab after graduation as she applies to PhD programs in molecular and cellular biology. Whenever academic pressures subside, she enjoys volunteering in Tijuana, Mexico at a free healthcare clinic that caters to underserved communities as well as supervising a homeless childcare program in Vista, California. Besides volunteer work, she loves spending time with her perfect angel of a dog, reading political news, watching horror films, and singing nonsense songs she makes up about her dog and friends.
