- “Conservation through Creation” The concept of bringing awareness to climate change through the combination of art and earth system science is implemented by the idea of letting a section of grass at UCI return to its natural state. This approach is a way to visualize the transition from a simulated environment to an indigenous environment through the act of reversal.

- Conserve Water: Make Brown the new Green! Imagine all lawns and turf statewide brown instead of green. Imagine how much water could be saved by that simple change. UCI uses reclaimed water on campus landscaping this is huge in saving the scarce resource of potable water.
