She is one of our clinical experts. Dr. Davis is an Assistant Professor of Cardiology at the University of Tennessee. She specializes in advanced heart failure, cardiology, and internal medicine in Nashville, TN. She is the Co-director of the University of Tennessee Central Piedmont Community College.
Elliot Main, MD
California Maternal Quality Care Collaborative and Stanford University
Dr. Main is Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stanford University, and Medical Director of the California Maternal Quality Care Collaborative (CMQCC) where he has led multiple state and national quality improvement projects. He is also the Chair of the California Pregnancy-Associated Mortality Review Committee since its inception in 2006.
Jeanette Lin, MD University of California, Irvine and Los Angeles, Department of Cardiology She is one of our clinical experts. Dr. Lin is a Congenital Heart Disease Cardiologist at UCI and UCLA. She is a member of the Department of Emergency Medicine and a Primary Care Physician.
Karen Florio, MD
University of Missouri-Kansas City, Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine
Dr. Florio is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology in the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine. She is Assistant Program Director of the Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship Program. She successfully implemented the CVD tool kit at St. Luke’s Hospital sub-site.

Dr. Tanu Pandey is a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine and Preventative Medicine. She has practiced medicine as an attending physician at several medical centers and is currently CalOptima Health, Orange Medical Director.
Nora Drummond University of Michigan School of Nursing, School of Nursing DNP CNM FNP-BC
She is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Michigan School of Nursing. Her research interests include the impact of adverse pregnancy outcomes on future cardiac disease, recognition of cardiac disease in pregnancy, and improving primary care provision for persons of reproductive age.
Brianna Henderson Patient Representative, LetsTalkPPCM Charity Ms. Henderson is our patient representative and a peripartum cardiomyopathy (PPCM) survivor. She is in the early stages of developing a PPCM Charity that plans to support research and awareness-raising activities.
Sarah Warren Patient Representative, Adult Congenital Heart Patient Mrs. Warren is a mother of two healthy daughters. She was followed incredibly close during both pregnancies, due to her very complicated heart anatomy including her non-surgical corrected transposition of the greater arteries. At age 19, she had her VSD and ASD repaired and the tricuspid valve repaired with an annuloplasty ring. When her youngest daughter was two years old, Sarah had her second open heart surgery to replace her tricuspid valve with a mechanical heart valve. She is an avid supporter of Adult Congenital Heart patients, pregnant heart patients, and is always willing to be part of the research.
Fabiola Solis Patient Representative Ms. Solis is one of our patient representatives and a client of MOMs Orange County, the region’s largest nonprofit organization dedicated solely to newborn and pregnancy health. Her experiences with receiving a cardiovascular disease diagnosis offer a unique perspective to our panel.
Andrea De La Piedra Patient Representative, Peripartum Cardiomyopathy (PPCM) Survivor Ms. De La Piedra is one of our patient representatives and peripartum cardiomyopathy (PPCM) survivor. Andrea had a healthy pregnancy experience up until she was diagnosed with preeclampsia, and her baby girl arrived four weeks early. She was diagnosed three months postpartum in March of 2018. She would have weekly cardiac doctor visits and has an implanted ICD due to PPCM. Now, Andrea is a full-time working mother of her 6-year-old daughter Amelia and has an amazing support system. Her visits to the cardiologist are now spaced out to every four months. She understands the importance of improving healthcare outcomes for postpartum patients and is eager to learn and advocate for proactive PPCM measures.
Stephanie Bain Patient Representative, Peripartum Cardiomyopathy (PPCM) Survivor Ms. Bain is one of our patient representatives and a peripartum cardiomyopathy (PPCM) survivor. She is a current patient of Dr. Hameed at UCI Health and a mother of a 17-year-old and 6-year-old twins; she understands the importance of improving healthcare outcomes for postpartum patients. Ms. Bain is also a member of the Peripartum Cardiomyopathy Survivor Support Group.
Talia Moreno Patient Representative
Mrs. Moreno is one of our patient representatives and a current patient of Dr. Hameed’s at UCI Health. She is a mother to a 2-month-old and a toddler eager to offer her unique experiences of receiving a cardiovascular disease diagnosis to our panel. The challenges that arose through her second pregnancy were unexpected, considering she lived a healthy lifestyle and was an avid runner, soccer player, and dancer. With the help of Dr. Hameed, the proper resources were identified to give Mrs. Moreno and her son the best viable options of success.
