I completed a PhD in the Department of Sociology at UC Irvine and am now an Assistant Professor at Cal State Fullerton. My research interests are broad and as such the areas in which my research falls encompass economic sociology, political sociology, political economy, and environmental sociology. My dissertation research looks at the financialization of the environment by examining how the growth of financial markets has impacted water governance in the Western US. I have published and presented on a number of topics related to the nexus of economy and society. Going forward my research is oriented around public policy, sustainability, and financial markets.
