Dalal is a Researcher and a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science Department at University of California, Irvine. Her research interests are in the field of Cybersecurity; Network Security; Cloud Security; Privacy; Human-Computer Interaction; and Artificial Intelligence. She is working under the supervision of Prof. Amelia Regan.
She has a passion and talent for aligning cybersecurity architecture, plan, controls, processes, policies, and procedures with cybersecurity standards and operational goals. She is equipped with working experience in both industry and academia. She has knowledge/experience in setting up Server-to-Client Network, setting up the Active Directory in AWS/Azure cloud and Windows/Linux OSs, setting up automatic backups, creating companies’ website and hosting them on webservers, setting up SIEM tools such as Splunk, developing Penetration-Testing reports, Vulnerability-Scan reports, incident response plans, security policies, and more.
Dalal’s work is very much in the national interest. She is working on a dissertation research that aims to make corporations, universities and government agencies less susceptible to crippling cloud based cyber-security attacks, and costly social engineering Attacks.
