Originally from Santa Barbara, CA, I returned to California after completing my doctorate at Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN). My research interests focus on child development with the explicit goals of understanding children’s social lives and how to promote healthy developmental trajectories. My research projects are quite varied, but all explore the ways in which social interactions influence developmental trajectories. My passion for studying child development was intensified with the birth of my daughter, Violet (now three years old).
Fun fact: I once rappelled down the face of a 21-story skyscraper.
