The Second Annual Yule Ball

The Monday of week 4 (Jan 26) is our annual Yule Ball. This is our big event of the year, and tickets are available starting now! It is a combination of a formal classical ballroom dance and a modern dance party. We will have a LIVE string quintet (UCI music majors) as well as light refreshments and (nonalcoholic) butterbeer. For more information, and to buy tickets, go to the Yule Ball event page or click on the banner above.

T-Shirts still available

DA shirtWe still have a bunch of t-shirts available! The design is shown on the left, and are printed with white ink on a dark heather gray shirt. IF YOU PRE-ORDERED A SHIRT, WEEK 2’S MEETING IS THE LAST DAY WE WILL KEEP THEM RESERVED FOR YOU. After week 2, preordered shirts will be released to everyone else, and it’s first come first served at that point.

We have shirts in unisex cut for all sizes still available as well as a smattering of shirts in women’s cut in various sizes. If there is enough demand, we may put in a re-order for the women’s cut, but that’s still TBD.

Next week: Potter Puppet Pals finger puppetsThe plan for next week’s meeting is a craft day to make our own Potter Puppet Pals finger puppets from felt. If you’re a dues-paid member, all you need to bring is a pair of scissors. If you are not a dues-paid member, please bring $3 to help us cover the cost of buying materials, as well as a pair of scissors.

That’s all for this week. Hopefully we’ll see everyone next week for craft day, and on Week 4 Monday for the Yule Ball!
