Robert Duncan, Ph.D. is a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Irvine Network on Interventions in Development (INID) in the School of Education at UC Irvine.

Prior to joining UCI, Rob received a M.S. and a Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Sciences at Oregon State University (OSU) studying early childhood development. Additionally, he received a Master’s in Public Health (Biostatistics focus) at OSU. Rob completed his B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Education at the University of Florida.

Rob’s research interests are on understanding how individual and contextual factors influence children’s development and how interventions and policies facilitate successful development. Specific areas of focus include understanding the implications of early development in executive function, self-regulation, motor skills, and academic skills for children’s later success.
