The UC Irvine Emergency Management Division is a unit of the UC Irvine Police Department. The Emergency Management Division is tasked with the overall emergency operations planning and continuity of operations planning for UC Irvine. The division is also responsible for emergency management training, planning, and coordination, and implementation of all FEMA, California Emergency Management Agency, and Orange County Operational Area related activities for UCI.

The Emergency Management Division helps prepare the University to respond to and recover from emergency situations. Activities include emergency response planning, emergency communications (zotAlert), Campus Search and Rescue (CSAR), Zone Crew, business continuity planning (UC Ready), and training and exercises.
