Paid Social Justice Research Opportunity for UCI Undergraduates

Hello UCI undergraduate students –

Please see the job description below for a very exciting initiative created by End Racism affiliated students and faculty.

This student-run program researches and advocates for the advancement of social justice and equity within the various academic departments at UCI. The “SASI” (Students Activating Social Innovation) initiative will employ 12 undergrads this summer. Students will work under Dr. Michael Dennin’s Vice Provost of Teaching and Learning Office to help promote transformative change of university culture and curricula.

The Office of the Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning is looking for passionate and engaged students to research and develop new strategies for three ground breaking initiatives! This cohort of 12 undergraduate students will work for the duration of this summer to advance social justice and equity awareness and action within the university through research, advocacy, and network building. This research position is an incredible opportunity to collaborate with incredibly driven undergraduate students, featuring mentorship from Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning Dr. Michael Dennin and UCI Dance Associate Professor Dr. S. Ama Wray!

Positions are paid with an expectation to work about 10 to 20 hours per week. See Handshake link below for more details.
