When Will Trump Realize That The Rush to Justice and Killing Roe v. Wade Will Hurt Him?

When Will Trump Realize That The Rush to Justice and Killing Roe v. Wade Will Hurt Him?

Trump has great Fox News media advisors, from Rupert Murdoch, himself, to Roger Ailes, and on down. Do they ever, instead of saying “News at Eleven” and “Stay Tuned”, just say “OK here’s the story anyway, you can go to sleep now”?  That is what Trump is about to do!

One of Trump’s key campaign motivators to religious voters was that Clinton would appoint the next Supreme Court Justice, whereas Trump promised to appoint one who would end Roe v. Wade and legalized abortion.

But look at what he and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell are now doing. They are going to appoint the Roe v. Wade killing Justice before the election. Hence, no motivation for religious Republicans to turn out to vote and battle the Blue Ripple. We don’t really see the Blue Tsunami that Democrats are hoping for, especially in already heavily Republican States and Congressional Districts. Furthermore, three Democratic Senators are at risk in States which Trump won. There are many more Democratic Senators up for reelection than Republican Senators.

But that is not all. If the new Justice starts the Supreme Court term in early October, Roe v. Wade may be killed by Summer 2019, or for sure, by Summer 2020. What will Trump use as an issue to motivate his religious voters for his re-election in November 2020?

Of course, Trump’s many seasoned political advisors will soon inform him of this, and we may see him slow the process down, or let the Democrats do so. Of course, Trump will then blame it on the present Democrats, and any other Democrats over the 45 years that Roe v. Wade and legal abortion has been the law of the land.
