Nov. 9th Update of Orange Coounty Congressional Districts

Nov. 9th Update of Orange County Congressional Districts

These are the results as of 6 pm, PST.  There is still very significant movement in favor of Democrats.

CA 45th:

R (I) Mimi Walters   103,975.  50.5%

D  Katie Porter.       101,955.  49.5%

R Walters’ lead is now only 2,020 votes, or 1.0%.  Last night, Walters lead was 4,637, and the night before it was 6,074.  At this rate, D Porter could be ahead tomorrow if they keep counting on Saturday.

CA 48th:

D Harley Rouda.              105,047.  51.8%

R (I) Dana Rohrabacher     97,719.  48.2%

D Rouda’s lead is now increased to 7,328, or 3.6%.  Last night he was ahead by 4,756, and the night before by 3,602.  So the lead has doubled the amount from two days ago.

The number of uncounted votes in OC after Election Day started at 440,000, and after three days is down to 366,000, with 71,544 counted.  That is 16.3% in 3 days, or 5.4% a day.

CA 39th:

R Young Kim:      83,211.  50.8%

D Gil Cisneros:    80,539.  49.2%

R Kim’s lead is now decreased to 2,672 or 1.6%.  Yesterday, Kim’s lead was 3,874, and the night before that was about the same at 3,879.  So this large decrease tonight is a new movement.

We also add the close 74th CA Assembly district covering Irvine and coastal towns.

D Cottie Petrie-Norris. 64,284.   50.2%

R (I) Matthew Harper.   63,664.   49.8%

The difference is only 620 votes or 0.48%.

Nationwide, Trump also complained yesterday that Arizona’s Senate race was turning up more D votes, so clearly, something must be fixed.  D Kyrsten Sinema has 990,177 votes or 49.36%, and leads R Martha McSally who now has 968,992 votes or 48.31%.  The lead is 21,185 votes, or 1.05% now.  Last night Sinema’s lead was 0.5%.

Florida’s election in Broward and Palm Beach Counties is now a morass.  Do you think any of the blame should be laid on the Florida Governor of the past 8 years for not improving the system?  And that would be Rick Scott, now the R candidate for Florida Senator.

The NY Times lists for the Senate 46D, 51R, and 3 still being decided, two of which are above, Arizona and Florida.  The Republicans  have gained 2 Senators.

The NY Times House list is  226 D, 198 R, and 11 undecided, which includes CA 10, CA 45, and CA 48.  The 218 majority is already obtained by the Democrats, which is already 8 above that.  The Democrats have gained 31 House seats.
