Nov. 13, Orange County:  Dem Porter takes the lead in the CA 45th

Dem Katie Porter moved ahead of Rep Incumbent Mimi Walters in the CA 45th, including Irvine.

CA 45

D Katie Porter             116,732.  50.1%

R (I) Mimi Walters.   116,471.  49.9%

The difference is a 261 vote lead for Porter.  Last night, Nov. 12, it was a 1,011 vote lead for Walters.  On Nov. 9, Walter’s lead was 2,020.  Before that it as 4,637, and before that 6,074.  So this is a steady increase for Porter.  There are fluctuations from the precincts being counted.

CA 48

D Harley Rouda.                  118,210.  52.3%

R (I) Dana Rohrabacher.   107,612.  47.7%

D Rouda’s lead is now 10,598 or 4.6%, a gain of 1,126 from his lead of 9,472 and 4.4% yesterday.       

State Assembly District 74

D Cottie Petrie-Norris.     77,094.   51.1%

R (I) Matthew Harper.     73,664.   48.9%

The difference is now 3,430 or 2.2%.  Yesterday, Petrie-Norris’s lead was 1,817 votes or 1.4%.

CA 39. It is mainly Orange County, but part Los Angeles County, with a pinch of San Bernardino.

R Young Kim.        93,452.   50.2%

D Gil Cisneros.      92,741.   49.8%

The difference is now only 711 votes, or 0.4%, by the New York Times.  Last night it was 1,957 or 1.2%, from Ballotpedia.

Of the 441,011 votes to count after Election Day, 179,411 or 40.7% have been counted, and 59.3% are left to count.  Last night, there were 31.3% counted, so they counted 9.4% today.  So that could be 6 to 7 more days, depending on what type of counting they are doing.  Next Wednesday.

So far, CNN’s House has D 225 to R 200.  10 are still not counted.  5 are in California.  Democrats lead in 7.  Democrats could have a pickup of 40 seats.  Dems had a majority at 218.

The Senate is D 47 and R 51.  Florida is being recounted, and Mississippi has a runoff.
