Nov. 16, Welcome to Our Blue County. The Blue Tide Keeps Rising

Nov. 16, Welcome to Our Blue County. The Blue tide keeps rising.

The Associated Press has declared Democrat Katie Porter in CA 45 the winner.

The short is that all four Orange County races are led by Democrats, and their tide keeps rising.

There are celebratory meteor showers tonight and tomorrow night.  Not to mention the USC/UCLA football game tomorrow.  Plus, a visit by President Trump to honor our brave firefighters tomorrow.

CA 45

D Katie Porter          143,144.   51.4%.

R (I) Mimi Walters.    135,120.   48.6%.

The difference is now 8,024 or 2.8%, up from 2.4% yesterday.

CA 48

D Harley Rouda.               140,323.    53.2%

R (I) Dana Rohrabacher.   123,401.    46.8%

D Rouda’s lead is now 16,922 or 6.4%, up from 5.8% yesterday.

R Young Kim.   105,471.   49.5%

D Cisneros second leading day is 2,285, or 1.0%, up from 941 yesterday, or 0.46%.

State Assembly District 74

D Cottie Petrie-Norris.   94,057.    52.3%.

R (I) Matthew Harper.     85,656.    47.7%.

The difference is now 8,401 votes or 4.6%, up from 4.0% yesterday.

In Orange County, there has been a 63% turnout of registered voters.  Los Angeles County had 49%, San Diego County 55%, San Francisco County 69%, Sacrament County 54%, and Statewide 55%.  The highest counties were small ones, topped by 79%.

Of the 471,011 votes to count after Election Day, 333,155 or 70.7% have been counted, up from 284,770 yesterday, or 60.5%.  This gain of 10.2% with 29.3% left to count, that could be 3 more days, finishing on next Tuesday.  I think that the votes to count may have jumped by 30,000 today.  It’s only been an estimate by the registrar, anyway.
