CA 21 Update:  Democrat TJ Cox Takes the Lead Over Republican David Valadao

This was inching closer for Dem Cox before the Thanksgiving recess, but now he appears over the top.  CNN has withdrawn their projection of Republican Valadao as the winner.  Valadao has served three terms as a representative.

This seat and New Mexico 2nd, also led by a Democrat, are the only two uncertain districts left.  Right now, Democrats have gained 38 seats, and the House is at Dem 233 to Rep 200.

Dem TJ Cox.              55,672 or 50.20%, up from 54,266 by 1,406.

Rep David Valadao.   55,236 or 49.80%, up from 54,713 by    523.

The increases favored the Democrat by 883 votes.

The difference is now 436 votes in the Democrat’s favor.  On Wednesday, Nov. 21, the Republican led by 447 votes.  The difference is only 0.4%, but the Democrat was always increasing over the Republican.
