World Coronavirus Cases versus US Gun Injuries and Deaths

What could be the connection between Coronavirus cases and guns?  Numerical coincidences.

March 7.  There are now 106,165 worldwide Coronavirus cases.  This has now bypassed the 100,000 Americans injured by guns each year.

There are now 3,594 worldwide deaths from the Coronavirus.  There are 36,000 American deaths from guns in a year, so this is a tenth of a year’s American gun carnage.

There were 95 new land cases in the US today, numerically matching the 100 US deaths from guns daily.  That is to say, the odds that you could have caught the Coronavirus today in the US, is equal to the odds that you could be killed by a gun today.  The difference is, 97% of the new Coronavirus patients will recover.

The nation is shocked that there have been seven deaths from a single elderly care home over the weeks.  There are mass shootings essentially every day of the year in the US.

Federal response to the Coronavirus in two months is an $8.3 billion budget to reduce its effects.  Federal response to gun deaths and injuries during the Trump years?  Nil.
