Opportunities

GERI Research Support

The UCI Genetic Epidemiology Research Institute (GERI) and the UCI All of Us Research Program, in collaboration with multiple UCI department collaboration partners, including the Dean’s Office of UC Irvine School of Medicine, is sponsoring a research support opportunity for UCI researchers to utilize the NIH All of Us Research Program data to pursue precision medicine research.

GERI intends to support research projects via statistical assistance or funding of up to $2,500 each. Proposals will be evaluated based on their scientific merit, their potential for publications and for the likelihood of future extramural funding. Applicants for this research support opportunity must be full-time UCI faculty including those in the Clinical and Adjunct Research series who have an established account with the NIH All of Us Researcher Workbench. The scope of the proposed research must be planned to be completed within one year. The proposals that receive this support will be required to present their work, either in progress or completed, at a webinar for the All of Us Southern California Consortium. Please see below for research support opportunity

Research Resources

Data Available

GERI has a variety of quality data. The All of Us Research Program has one of the largest biomedical data resources of its kind. The Research Hub is home to All of Us data, research tools, and research projects. Learn more and register to use the researcher workbench.

Statistical Consulting and Training

A biostatistics team is available to assist clinical, epidemiologic and basic science investigators who are members of the institute. Consultations are available to help investigators with their study design and subsequent data analysis. They can also assist members in the linkage of their projects to other clinical, epidemiologic and laboratory data sources.
