Business & Consulting for STEM Scientists Club (BCSS): We aim to introduce trainees (graduate students & postdocs) to business and consulting careers by creating an environment focused on consulting career opportunities, case interviews, application preparation, and networking opportunities with the professionals in the field.(Join LinkedIn group). Science Communication Careers Club: This group will foster the intellectual and professional development of aspiring science writers and communicators at all levels of graduate and postdoctoral training. Our goal is to provide club members with career exposure, writing experience, and training opportunities in science writing (freelance) and communication (media e.g TED talks, research pitch). Academic & Research Intensive Careers Club: The mission of the club is to prepare students and post-doctoral fellows for a career as a principal investigator in a research-intensive environment by developing the skill set required to be competitive in the current job market. Public Policy Prep (P3) program members club: This program was founded with support from Burroughs Welcome Fund (BWF) to increase knowledge of & experience with public policy processes, increase knowledge of & experience with advocacy related to science policy & develop the ability of students, postdocs, faculty & staff to communicate effectively with members in the policy arena. Medical Science Liaison (MSL) & Field Application Scientist (FAS) Careers Club: The MSL & FAS have specific roles within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, CRO and other health-care industries. Art in Science Club: This group focuses on bringing arts to science and/or taking science to art – Scientific Art. Whether you are interested in expressing your science in art form, create scientific images or if you have a story to tell via your experimental images (Immunofluorescence, IHC staining, Electron Micrographs, data patterns without plotted graphs), this group is for you.
