Jordan is currently a doctoral student at the University of California, Irvine. She received a BA in Criminology and Justice Studies and an MA in Sociological Practice from California State University San Marcos. Jordan participated in the San Diego and Imperial County Community College Association’s Internship program where she was mentored by a local professor and gained valuable training and on-the-job teaching experience. Following the end of the internship, Jordan began teaching at two Southern California community colleges. Her passion for research, however, has guided her back to school at the University of California, Irvine where she is now working towards attaining a PhD in Criminology, Law and Society. Her research interests include all things policing, especially police culture and use of force.
