Shut Up & Write! is a day-long writing workshop, compartmentalized into 30-40 minute blocks of quiet work time with short breaks in-between. The structure of the workshop is based upon research from the University of Illinois, which has found that brief breaks between shortened work sessions allow people to stay more focused over time. So whether you have a seminar paper deadline looming, a dissertation chapter due to your advisor, or grading to complete, Shut Up & Write! is here to help you get ahead.
