Graduate Public Fellows Program

Humanities Out There Public Fellows and Higher Education Fellows have the opportunity to apply and expand their humanities research and writing capacities through summer internships. These positions are funded through a Mellon Foundation grant to support expanding post-PhD career paths. Graduate students currently enrolled in a PhD program in the School of Humanities are eligible to apply for a 2020 Humanities Out There 2020 Summer Internship.

Graduate Fellows will be hired as GSRs through the Humanities Center for 195 hours during the summer with assignment to work the partner organization or campus unit. The summer stipend is approximately $5,000 before taxes

Currently enrolled School of Humanities PhD students can apply for up to two (2) positions for summer 2020. Students will be hired for one position. Priority will be given to graduate students who do not already received summer funding support from the School of Humanities.
