In the past 10 years since the launch of the HistoriCITY app. Two years after Facebook bought out Google, they also acquired HistoriCITY in a large joint acquisition of approximately 70 state and locally based museums and history programs. Facebook Histories they call it. It’s pervaded global tourism, people flock to previously unknown historical sites to take pictures with famous figures. You can even add yourself to paintings now! Thousands of people each year flock to Fullerton, CA to see where it all began. I am one of those people. I know Fullerton’s iteration of Facebook Histories isn’t the most in-depth, or fully populated location. But there’s something about being a history buff that makes me want to see where it all started. Here I am at 107 S. Harbor Blvd. The location of the Fender Radio shop where Leo Fender designed the first Fender electric guitars, basses, and amps. I’ll just snap a photo of myself purchasing a telecas-*BZZZZZZZZTTt*-ter! What was that?

A drone? That wasn’t one of the police drones that hover inconspicuously around the city. Was that an unlicensed drone? Oh well. Let’s try that picture again, *BBBBZZZZZZZZZZZZZTTTTTT*. DAMNIT! Did that drone just photobomb me… AGAIN?! Actually, come to think of there are quite a few drones here. This is unusual.
*BZZZZZZTTTTT* *FWOT* *CLANK* *CSSHHHHH* “Gotcha!!!”
What?! Did a drone just ‘shoot down’ that other drone? That almost hit me.
I see a child, no, a teenager, running to collect the downed drone. “Rachet, this is Clank, capture successful! I’ll retrieve the drone and return it to HQ for retrofit and a new paint job, good shot!”
I just want to take photos and look at history!! Hmmm, there seem to be two colors of drones. Both the drones that photobombed me are red. So is the one that got ‘shot’ down with that net mechanism. Who’s piloting these things? And UGH!!! That GOD DAMN buzz is all over. I can’t believe I didn’t notice it before. So the blue ones are hunting the red ones it seems. I’ll just snap a photo here by the Santa Fe Depot *BBBBBZZZZZTTTTT* DAMNIT!!! I yell out “CAN YOU FUCKING, NOT!!!” to nobody in particular. So the red ones are here to photobomb me, and the damn blue ones are trying to kill me by knocking the red ones out of the sky. I should have gone to Downtown LA :(.
