I used the given path in my home community. I started my walk from entrance of our community.
At times this psychographic path, lead me to someone’s private territory, so I had to make a u-turn as there was no right option. Yes, it does lead us to unwanted locations and paths. I also came on the biker’s path which could have been prone to accidents. According to Debora psychogeography also involves emotions and behavior. Following this map is frustrating at times as it makes me go round in circles. Also, at one point, I ended up on a fence.
It definitely took me off my predictable path and put me in front of a decision point. I am usually familiar with my community as am used to taking slow walks with my kids. I did become aware of new landscape aka my neighbors’s yards. I actually gave closer look to the condominium yards and house yards. Single family homes have more drought resistant plants. At some point, I did have no choice but to walk inside my community hall, which was amusing. I had fun doing this exercise.
