C H A I R S!!! CHAIRS! Chairs. & chairs…

Sofa

What is it? Brown leather sofa.

Where is it? Our living room.

How I relate to it? This is by FAR the main place I sit at home as we tend to spend nearly all of our time at home in the living room.

How does it function? The cushioning is a bit stiff, but this likely adds to the sofa’s durability and longevity. The surface is easy to clean and the overall comfort is sufficiently good.

How does it make me feel? I don’t do ANY work in this chair so it makes me happy to sit here since sitting here means I’m home with my family relaxing.

Office

What is it? Black cloth/mesh office chair.

Where is it? My office near the window.

How I relate to it? This has been my favorite office chair so if I have to be at work, I’m happy to at least have this chair.

How does it function? I would consider the functionality high for the chair’s decent price (~$120). The seat, backrest, and armrests are all adjustable so I have it dialed in quite well to my liking.

How does it make me feel? The seat fabric is comfortable and together with the mesh seat back material, the chair breaths well helping me feel reasonably cool during overly long periods of sitting.

Car

What is it? Golf GTI driver’s seat.

Where is it? In my car.

How I relate to it? I like driving so I like sitting here.

How does it function? The seat is very supportive with it’s high side bolsters and also offers numerous methods of adjustment.

How does it make me feel? Like most parts of the car, the seat is very good at its job and sitting here makes me comfortable and I enjoy the car very much.

Library

What is it? Plastic/Aluminum chair.

Where is it? HB Central Library

How I relate to it? This is where I’m sitting to finish this assignment and will likely return to a similar chair throughout this MHCID program.

How does it function? It has all the expected properties of a good, sturdy chair that must stand up to constant usage by a varied array of general loitering guests.

How does it make me feel? My positive feelings about the chair are fading as my time here progresses on due to the hard plastic becoming tiresome.
