  1. Hi Shirin, These maps are wonderful. I really appreciate the explosion of color in your mapping of different attributes that characterizes the space at different scales. Did you draw the first map of the home or use a floor plan? Feel free to add text notes to contextualize your projects / process in the future. Hopefully you at least altered the floor plan, sometimes tracing out a space you’re in every day will lead to new discoveries. I really appreciate the messiness of your daily path and the fuzziness of foot traffic in these maps, and the fact that you’ve mapped / noted how your route differs on payday.

My only suggestions here are echoing what I’ve commented on others, and have to do with the “qualities of the spaces that exist in your environment” part of the assignment, as it isn’t as yet obvious what qualities are conveyed, exactly, in all maps. This has to do with your choices of colors and textures to represent the layers as you did, and whether, in the end, you feel these patterns and colors are representing the qualities you are trying to convey. These are things to consider for future mappings (thinking about how shapes, line, and color communicate). Thanks so much!

    1. Hi Leah, thank you for your feedback. For the first map I used a premade the floor plan, then I added most the details including the items, furniture, and appliances.
