  1. I like how minimalist your design is. I know you’re in Japan, but also your design elements remind me of Japanese design as well. I appreciated you’ve used colors and different sizes of legend to present the forces. I am surprised how many hair salons/barber shops are in the area!

    I enjoy the usage of the blobs on the Artsy map. The shape looks artistic itself, but also it reminds me of Kusama Yayoi and I think you choose an appropriate way to represent this force.

  2. Jeff, this are great maps. What stood out to me was: 1) how you mapped multiple elements in each force. I hadn’t thought of that. It adds dimension to that force, which is something I wish I had done on mine. 2) The varying techniques you employed in representing the data. I especially liked the “artsy” blob shaped indications because they evoked an atmosphere of “artsy”; perhaps it is a general mood, or the collection of dozens of little aesthetic details in those areas too numerous to name. Either way, it was provocative to me. Well done!
