Homelessness is a major issue in the world. We decided we wanted to think outside the box on how to tackle the issue. One of the main areas of concern that we tried to tackle is apathy towards homeless people. Most people don’t know why people end up homeless. We wanted to create an art block in Hayes Valley to educate people on the homeless issue.

Hey Daniel and Alex,
A very interesting take on bringing awareness to the serious homeless and gentrification issues in Hayes Valley. I am very familiar with the area so your project and solution definitely interest me.
Great job using such riveting music to really capture the essence of the mood and captivate the viewer. I am curious if you both considered in addition to the video testimonials of the homeless, I was wondering if maybe you also thought about having artwork and pieces featured and done by homeless people along the art walk?
I believe this would also be helpful to bring awareness to the homeless to humanize them and make people realize there are gifted and talented people who are on the streets as well. Not everyone has the luxury of their own art studios that you see in Hayes Valley. It would be a great addition to help tell the stories of the people often overlooked in the area.
