host an intern
ABOUT LABOR SUMMER
The University of California Irvine, in partnership with the Orange County Labor Federation, will be coordinating its annual Labor Summer Internship program. This is the 3nd year that UC Irvine has participated in what is now a state-wide program, spanning across all 10 UC campuses. This program allows students to gain experience and connect with working people through the labor movement and community organizations. It provides them a chance to network and develop skills that will prepare them for entry into the labor movement and community organizing world. Previous interns have worked on projects including, but not limited to: writing research reports, organizing members, participating in strikes, developing legal briefs and analyzing data. Graduates of Labor Summer join a pool of new talent that is trained, experienced and motivated. Many interns have gone on to obtain jobs in the labor movement and non-profit world.
2025 PROGRAM
Labor Summer 2025 will run from June 16 – August 9, 2025. We are now accepting applications from organizations that wish to host interns. The deadline for host applications is February 21st, 2025 at 11:59pm PST. To apply, please review the requirements and download the application below.
