Avery Reagan, MFA 2020 Hemsley Lighting Intern for 2020-2022 https://www.averyreagandesigns.com/

Throughout the pandemic, Avery’s role was to assist in organizing the 2021 Student Portfolio Review. Due to the pandemic, the Hemsley Program invited last year’s participants to this year’s review. There were twice as many students participating than the previous year, and it was virtual. Avery’s responsibility was to contact student participants to schedule their interview and round table rotations.

As Avery goes forward with the actual internship, she will be assisting in several theaters throughout the year.  She will work with the San Francisco Opera from mid-July to mid-November on their fall season which consists of 3 operas and a concert series.  She will be responsible for creating and updating paperwork through Vectorworks, Lightwright, cue sheets, spot sheets, work notes, and lighting scripts.

From mid-November through the end of February, Avery will be in New York working with Mark Stanley and the New York City Ballet on their annual production of The Nutcracker. In 2022, she will be working with Al Crawford and the Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre for their winter season.
