Research Advisor: Richard A. Matthew
Research Interests:
Primarily, I research the influence of message framing on support for climate change policies. I look at how making small adjustments to the way climate change policies are communicated may or may not increase support for policies among Republicans, specifically. Climate policy polarization in the U.S. constrains national-level climate action. My findings could bridge the gap by connecting to Republican opponents through messaging. U.S. policymakers can use these results to improve messaging, decrease polarization, and build support for climate action plans
My general research interests include:
Science in politics and politics in science; climate change politics; science communication; media and mobilization, transformational media.
