The following apps allow you to host and join presentations from your iPad or computer so that a faculty member can share a slideshow or documents from their iPad with all student iPads that have joined the presentation.
Enhancing Teaching through the use of Digital Texts
The Inkling titles provided to faculty can be accessed through the web. Faculty are able to include figures, animations and quizzes via adding links within presentations; direct links to the digital text allows faculty to easily refer to reading assignments during lecture.
At the University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine our philosophy on technology use during patient encounters is that mobile technologies, such as the iPad, are a useful patient education adjunct, though they should not distract from the purpose of the encounter. To assist in this endeavor, the iMedEd curriculum at UC Irvine has developed a list of 15 self-assessment questions to help providers better integrate mobile technology into patient encounters.
