Join the NAR staff and your fellow CHCreatives as we get together to showcase our selected submissions for the Fall 2021 NAR issue!

We’re excited to introduce you to some of the talented creators behind this quarter’s selections. We will be announcing contest winners and awarding prizes during the event, so don’t miss out!

The Spring Unveiling will be held on November 10 from 6-7pm in the CHC Locus (5th floor of the UCI Science Library)! Be sure to register on CampusGroups to attend the event.

Fall 2021 Writing Workshop

We are excited to announce our Fall 2021 Writing Workshop will be coming up soon! If you are looking for inspiration to start a new creative piece, try out different prompts and activities to get your creativity flowing, or overcome your writer’s block with fellow Honors creatives, then this event is for you! We’ll be completing a series of fun writing exercises while incorporating some free writing time and sharing past examples of pieces published in the NAR journal! We look forward to seeing you there!

Fall 2021 Contest: Renew, Reinvent, Reflect

The NAR staff proudly presents our first creative works contest of the quarter! This fall we will all have a chance to creatively reunite and showcase how we have developed as individuals and communities over the course of the past year. Whether it is a new passion or hobby you discovered during quarantine, or something you are looking forward to doing in person, we invite you to share your creativity with us! Submissions of any medium and format are eligible for our contest prize so long as they are thematically connected to the theme of “Renew, Reinvent, Reflection.” Any submissions, regardless of theme, will be considered for overall publication in our Fall 2021 issue! Please upload submissions through our contest form or by emailing uci.nar.chc@gmail.com. We look forward to seeing your work!

We invite you to join the Honors Creative Works Journal as a Student Representative!

If you are a current Campuswide Honors student and have a passion or interest in being creative, we encourage you to apply to become NAR’s Representative in the Campuswide Honors Student Council (CHSC).

This excellent leadership opportunity will allow you to combine your excitement for creative projects with a supportive network of Honors Anteaters who share the goal of community building and inclusivity through the arts. You’ll be working with the NAR staff at our weekly CHSC meetings (5-6pm on Zoom) to plan and host fun workshops and events that encourage and be a part of fostering creativity in the CHCommunity!
