Walking comes up frequently here, and for good reason, as there are many health benefits. Research keeps coming up with more reasons why it is so beneficial. This article, The Case for Walking: Small steps yield big benefits, popped up today as trending. What caught my interest to share here was the link between walking and longevity.
This graphic, taken from the essay, shows how walking at a faster rate helps no matter what your weight. Another research study discussed showed that a moderate amount of steps, no matter the pace, helped older women to live longer. The published research is embedded in the essay, so if you need to dig deep you can.
I learned something new from this Case for Walking, and information like this gets me motivated to keep up the steps, and perhaps for you too. 🙂
