As I move through my daily life of working from home with my husband and daughter, we are finding solace in stepping away from our work areas, taking a walk, going out to the garden, and refocusing on us. Our home was time away from work, and now it seems all squashed together in one location. Taking walks together or finding other physical outlets has helped us separate our work life from home life, to keep moving forward with one foot in front of the other, and physically work off that additional energy so we sleep better. We’ve even taken walks while it is sprinkling and have found it refreshing (today there was no one else out walking).
Sleeping well and exercise helps boost the immune system.
If you can’t get outside for a walk, here are a few ideas to help you to keep you moving forward:
- Put on your favorite playlist and keep moving around the house.
- Gardening burns off some great energy, and with all this rain the weeds will soon appear.
- Search Google or YouTube for your favorite type of activity and you’ll find something that motivates you.
