For Providers

Refer your patients to an interview study

PARADE will be the first large-scale effort to characterize the full range of psychosocial implications of biomarker-informed ADRD diagnosis in the real-world context of clinical evaluation among persons from diverse backgrounds.

Help us by referring your patients with cognitive impairments who are seeking biomarker testing (blood, cerebrospinal fluid, or PET imaging) to our study. Ideally , we want to conduct the first interview prior to a patient receiving their biomarker results although this is not a requirement for participation.

Procedures

Trained diverse research staff at the University of Pittsburgh and Univerity of California, Irvine will enroll 500 pateints with memory impairments who are undergoing biomarker testing for ADRD to participate with or without a family member in four remote structured interviews . Interviews can be conducted in Spanish or English and no travel is necessary

Eligibility

People who are undergoing biomarker testing for an ADRD diagnosis are eligible. Adult family members are also invited to participate.

Clinical relevance

PARADE seeks to provide findings that will inform best practices in the rapidly evolving state-of-the-art diagnostic evaluation of cognitive impairment.
