Hello and welcome to the Physics Graduate Caucus at UCI. We are a group of gradaute students from the Department of Physics and Astronomy at UCI who are determined to help our fellow Physics and Astronomy grads through their graduate school journey. As adminstrator, I have been so amazed by the dedication of our community members to want to and succeed at helping each other. While things are never perfect and not everyone is as involved we as a community continue to grow every year.
If you are a prospective graduate student, I encourage you to reach out to our officers for any questions you may have regarding UCI Physics and Astronomy. We, the PGC, will be represented at most recruitment and visit day activities so if you would like to you can reach out then as well.
A Message Regarding Covid- 19:
This pandemic has hit our community very hard this year. PGC is best at creating enviorments where people can socialize, be heard and feel included. This has been taken away with everyone required to stay home and socially distance. When we went into the stay at home order in mid March PGC cancelled all functions for the remaining academic year. Going into fall, PGC has decided allow its officers to focus on themesleves and try to get through this tough time. We, plan to reasses our involvement in Winter 2021. The only promise I have as the Adminstrator of the PGC is that I will throw a big party once this pandemic allows us to be together again.
