The UCI Campus Safety Workgroup includes representatives from a range of stakeholder communities dedicated to establishing a model of campus safety that promotes inclusive excellence.

The charge of the workgroup is to direct the implementation of the recommendations associated with the February 21, 2021 Public Safety Advisory Committee’s report “Transformation of Public Safety in the UCI Community“. The recommendations are designed to reimagine campus safety holistically in four interrelated ways: mission and values, data collection and management, compliant investigative process and feedback, and aligning performance standards with campus standards.  On March 1, 2021 UCI Chancellor Gilman endorsed the report and recommendations. A UC Community Safety Plan reinforces and builds on campus efforts.
