NOTE: The UCI Psychological Services Center is not scheduling assessment services at this time. Please call the PSC for more information.
The UCI Psychological Services Center conducts comprehensive psychoeducational and psychological assessments for children age five and older, through adulthood.
A psychoeducational assessment is designed to evaluate and diagnose learning and attention problems, or other concerns related to the educational environment. A psychological evaluation is designed to understand and better characterize emotional or behavioral problems for individuals. Some of the common concerns presenting to the Clinic for assessment include:
- Difficulties with attention (e.g., ADHD)
- Specific Learning Disorder (e.g., dyslexia)
- Depression/Anxiety
- Behavioral Difficulties
Psychological and Psychoeducational evaluations are comprehensive and include the use of standardized, nationally normed measures to assess behavioral, emotional, intellectual and academic factors influencing behavior.
