Thank you for your interest in the Psychology (Pre-Internship) Practicum Program at UC Irvine. We accept applications from doctoral-level clinical psychology students in the Southern California area.
Please read the following instructions carefully.
Application Materials:
- Online application
- A cover letter
- Curriculum vitae
- A sample assessment report
- Required for the Lifespan track and the Center for Autism track
- Two letters of recommendation
- You will have the opportunity to upload the letters of recommendations in the Application Portal with the rest of your material, or your letter writers may upload their letter directly through the Reference Portal.
All materials should be prepared for upload using the naming convention of your first and last name – Description of file (e.g,. “Jane Doe – CV.pdf”). Files may be saved in either PDF or Microsoft Word document (docx) format.
Application Timeline:
The application portal will open on October 1, 2023. UPDATE: The Center for Autism will NOT be accepting applications for the 2024-2025 training year.
The application deadline is December 1, 2023. Only completed applications will be considered and reviewed. You are responsible for ensuring that all application materials (including letters of recommendation) are received by the deadline.
All completed applications will be reviewed in December and interviews will be held throughout late December and January.
Offers for acceptance will be extended in early February 2024. If you are offered a position, you will have three business days to accept or decline the offer. If you do not communicate your decision within the three-day period, we may offer the position to another candidate.
