Creativity

We write stories, starting with scraps and ideas, which we as a group develop through improvs. We include and mentor local high school students, especially those from minoritized groups. Blows endured evolve into authorship, into authority when written as a collective.

Drama

We do it in various genres, from drama to the absurd—with a particular penchant for laughter, comedy rhythms in body and words. This is a company of non-experts; we’ll perform whatever comes of this, using whatever talents walk in the door.

Community

We do this not imagining we’re specially endowed. Rather, we believe that working together, in an amateur creative practice, including at the end a small show for friends, is itself a productive form of resilience, a means of flourishing in a world of mounting walls.
