Welcome to the online home of the Rhet/Comp Grad Collective (RCGC), a group of UC Irvine graduate students with interests in rhetoric/composition pursuing activities that promote our scholarly and professional development.

The RCGC also acts as the grad student chapter of the Rhetoric Society of America at UC Irvine. Formalized in 2011, we adopted the following mission statement:

The mission of the UCI student chapter of the Rhetoric Society of America is to provide graduate students interested in rhetoric/composition with a friendly, rigorous space that is intellectually and professionally beneficial for historical, theoretical, pedagogical, and interdisciplinary approaches to rhetoric.

Our current faculty advisor is Daniel M. Gross. Previously, Susan C. Jarratt served in that capacity from 2011 until her retirement in 2016.
