I am currently a postdoctoral researcher in the laboratory of Dr. Arthur Lander at UCI and am supported by the FORD Postdoctoral Fellowship and UC President’s Fellowship. My research project is in collaboration with Dr. Anand Ganesan.
Broadly, I am interested in the development of melanocytes and how they can lead to nevi (a.k.a. skin moles) and melanoma in the skin. I use various approaches to answer fundamental questions about melanocyte development including mouse models, bioinformatics, and computational modeling. Refer to research page for more details.
Previously, I received my Ph.D. from UCI’s department of biological chemistry researching melanoma in Dr. Anand Ganesan’s group.
Check out Dr. Ganesan’s work below.
In my spare time I enjoy mountain biking and photography.
