Professor Ahumada is an Assistant Professor of Health Informatics & Human-Robot Interaction at UC Davis, and is the first female PI and first Latina (Mexican-American) to lead a National Robotics Initiative Grant at UCI. She is also Co-PI of a UC Multiple Campus Research Projects and Initiative titled “Robot-facilitated Health Equity in Post-Pandemic California and Beyond”. The project is funded by a $1.2M collaborative grant.
