Graduate Researchers
Can Wang
Can has been a member of Sasmaz’s group since 2020. Her research focuses the application of machine learning (ML) models to predict the chemical properties of the Pd/ceria-zirconia catalysts. Additionally, she focuses on controlling the structure of Pd/ceria-zirconia catalysts through the flame spray pyrolysis (FSP) method to enhance methane oxidation performance. She loves watching movies and hiking. She is a cat person.
Han Wang
Han is a Ph.D. student in the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering department and joined the Sasmaz group in 2020. Her research includes reaction kinetics modeling, heterogeneous catalyst synthesis, and induction heating for catalytic reactions. Besides research, she enjoys painting, baking, and hanging out with friends.
Ben Ko
Ben is a Ph.D. student in the Chemical and Biomolecular department and joined the Sasmaz group in 2022. His research topics are developing an operando XAFS reaction cell and investigating magnetically induced spin-forbidden reactions. His other interests are playing video games, playing the piano, and traveling.
