Apple has released an update to the Safari web browser, which fixes a large number of issues including potential unexpected application termination or arbitrary code execution when visiting a malicious web site.
Two versions of the update are available depending upon the operating system Safari is installed on. Safari 5.0.3 and Safari 4.1.3 address the same set of security issues.
* Safari 5.0.3 is available for Mac OS X v10.5.8, Mac OS X Server v10.5.8, Mac OS X v10.6.4 or later, Mac OS X Server v10.6.4 or later, Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP SP2 or later.
* Safari 4.1.3 is available for Mac OS X v10.4.11, and Mac OS X Server v10.4.11
(Note that Safari may have been installed on some Windows installations with an iTunes installation or update.)
