Adobe Flash December 2014 security update

December 9, 2014 by Lee Knutson Leave a Comment

Adobe has released new versions of Flash that fix critical security issues for installations running on Windows, Macintosh, and Linux that could cause the application to crash and could potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system. Please update your systems soon.

Windows users should update to 16.0.0.235.
Macintosh users should update to 16.0.0.235.
Linux users should update to 11.2.202.425.

For Windows users using both Internet Explorer and another web browser (i.e. Firefox, Opera or Safari), you will need to install the update twice; once using Internet Explorer and again with the other browser(s). Internet Explorer uses ActiveX for Flash, and the other browsers use a plugin. (Chrome on all platforms and Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 8 Update 1 include a feature to automatically update Flash.)

Note that Adobe has updates available for Flash on Android for users who have Android devices with Flash, as well as Adobe AIR for products that use that technology.
