Courses taught: Introductory Biology BIS 2B (Evolution and Ecology), enrolls about 2500/year; my sections are 350-500 and I did two at a time with a colleague.   8 hours of lecture a week for 5 out of 10 weeks.
BIS 2C (Phylogenetics and Tree of Life).  Enrolls about 2000/year; my sections are 350-500 and I did two at a time with a colleague. 8 hours of lecture a week for 5 out of 10 weeks.
Davis Honors Challenge seminars to accompany intro biology and a seminar that accompanies developmental biology.  These are 15 to 28 students.

Research interests: Inquiry-based lab design for very large numbers of students (1200 students taking an open-inquiry lab in sections of 24 in a single quarter).
