Past Meetings

The Systems Microbiology (Sys Micro) Group meets twice a month and covers topics related to bacteria and phage from an inter-disciplinary perspective, including approaches from Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Physics, Quantitative Biology, and Systems Biology. Past topics have included:

  • Biofilm engineering
  • Microbiome analysis
  • Metabolic profiling and engineering
  • Virulence and pathogenesis
  • Bioinformatic analysis
  • Antibiotic resistance
  • Bacteria-phage interactions
  • Electronic conduction in biological materials

Faculty, postdocs, graduate and undergraduate students from UCI and the community are welcome to attend. For more information about attending or if you are interested in presenting your work about bacteria or phage, contact Albert Siryaporn (asirya “at” uci.edu). Hope to see you there!
